EDSO Inspection Tour of EC Football Championship - Lisbon

EDSO Football Inspectors, Bjørn Røine and Andrew Scolding had visit Lisbon, 4 difference Sports complex had been visit over the weekend along with 5 difference hotels. Poor old souls, they need a new pair of soles for their feets!!
Andrew Scolding and Helder Duarte, President of LOC (Local Organising Committee) had met with National Technical Co-ordinator of Federacäo Portuguesa de Futbol, Arnaldo Cunha, day earlier with interpreter to discuss with co-ordination of technical and match officials in the office adjacent to Portugal National Stadium, Jamor.
The meeting with Helder Duarte, Ana Cristina Pereira and Rio Pinheiro in preparation of EC, and the opening on 10th June will possible be at OC Belenenses and the closing match at National Stadium in Jamor on 23rd June. The arrangement and schedules of the competition will be within one month after the draw for Final competition.
Sports ground are
O.S. Belenenses FC (2 pitches)
Complexo Desporto de Jamor (4 pitches)
Estadio Universitario de Lisboa (4 pitches)
Estoril F.C. (1 pitches)
Each Sports ground have 1 Floodlight pitches to allow for evening matches during the tournament.
All sports Grounds is no more than 30 minutes Coach Ride from the Main hotel, Hotel Praia Mar, Carcavelos, where the main EDSO Technical / Media Office will be. There are other many hotels in Carcavelos / Estoril / Oeiras are within reasonable distance. Other hotels near the City centre, Lisbon are not recommend due to lack of beds, lack of training facilities and expensive.
Training facilities at St Julian School is 15 minutes leisurely walk from the Hotel also 20 minutes coach journey in Estoril. All training facilities had artificial grass, so required alternative training shoes/boot, not studded. But also training facilities are available at each sports ground before the actual match.
Bjørn and Andrew are satisfied with overall arrangement.
